KOP Bride Tip Tuesday | Perfect Wedding Shoes

January 29, 2019

Today’s #kopbridetiptuesday is all about SHOES! Sounds silly I know but you would be amazed at the amount of brides I work with that have serious shoe problems the day of! Whether you are wanting to wear sandals, flats, converse, stilettos, etc. You should ask yourself these questions to find the perfect shoes for your big day that you and your feet will be thanking you for haha!

 1.     What is you venue like? Is your ceremony/reception taking place on hardwood floor? Or is it going to be on a sandy beach? The kind of ground you are working with on your wedding day will influence your decision! The last thing you want is to be stumbling through the grass in your stilletos at your backyard wedding!

2.     What will the weather be like? I know we can’t predict the exact weather but if you are faced with snow or cold temperatures on your wedding you might not want to wear sandals or strappy open toed shoes.

3.     Will you be walking a lot on your wedding day? Are things close by at your venue or will you be walking a lot? This is a good thing to think about when it comes to heels or flats. If you are going to be walking a lot you might want to go for something more comfortable!

4.     How do your feet do in certain shoes? Consider your past experiences ladies haha! My feet do NOT do well in heels! I get blisters soooo easily and I knew our wedding day would be no different. I decided that I didn’t want to deal with that on our wedding day and opted for a cute pair of jeweled flats. If you know there is a type of shoe that your foot doesn’t do well with then don’t wear them!

PRO TIP: We have had our fair share of weddings;) Start breaking in your shoes a month or longer before the wedding! This will help your feet adjust and give you a heads up if you need to change them for something more comfortable! Another idea is to wear those heels you’ve been dying to wear for pictures and the ceremony then swap them out for something more comfy for the reception!
